Explanation for Booking Calendars
There are two separate calendars available for booking your mock trial session: one for the prosecution and one for the defense. You may book a date on only one calendar—either prosecution or defense.
Important Guidelines:
- First Come, First Serve: Once a role (prosecution or defense) is fully booked, you must book the remaining role. If you wanted to be on the prosecution but all prosecution dates are taken, you will need to book as the defense, and vice versa.
- Team Coordination: Speak with your law firm partners to agree on the role (prosecution or defense) your firm wishes to take before booking. Ensure your selection aligns with your firm’s decision, not just your personal preference.
- Responsibility: By booking a date, your firm commits to preparing for and fulfilling the role you have chosen.
Be mindful of these instructions and make your selection carefully. Collaboration and communication within your law firm are crucial to securing the role your team desires!
PROSECUTION
Prosecution Calendar Description
Welcome to the Prosecution Booking Calendar! This calendar is exclusively for law firms preparing to take on the role of the prosecution in their mock trial. By booking here, you and your firm commit to presenting the case on behalf of the state or plaintiff.
Important Notes:
- Ensure this role aligns with your law firm’s decision. Speak with your team before booking, as all members must agree on the prosecution role.
- Remember, at least three members of your firm must attend the trial.
- First Come, First Serve: If all prosecution dates are fully booked, you will need to select a date from the defense calendar instead.
DEFENSE
Defense Calendar Description
Welcome to the Defense Booking Calendar! This calendar is reserved for law firms representing the defense in their mock trial. By booking here, you and your firm commit to defending your client and challenging the prosecution’s case.
Important Notes:
- Confirm with your law firm that the defense role is your agreed-upon choice before booking. Communication is key to ensuring your team is united.
- At least three members of your firm must attend the trial.
- First Come, First Serve: If all defense dates are booked, you will need to select a date from the prosecution calendar instead.
