While all students are welcome to apply for a scholarship and it is merit-based, priority will be given to the following groups:
Students who have been formally invited to join our program
Priority for single-parent households
Including legal guardians
Limited access to local co-ops and diverse schools
Families new to homeschooling or first year enrolling in an online school
Students with an incarcerated parent
Families with a combined household income under $65,000
We highly recommend that students complete this section of the application themselves.
We believe in fostering autonomy, confidence, and self-direction in every learner. One of our core values is helping students take ownership of their education and go after the opportunities they want in life — and this scholarship application is a perfect place to start!
That said, parents and guardians — we ask that you review the responses after your student completes this section and feel free to assist with any details they may not know. Your support is always appreciated as they step into their independence.

We’d love to feature the voices of our scholarship recipients and celebrate the amazing students who become a part of the Àbulę community. Choose one of the following creative options to complete and submit with your application. This is optional, but highly encouraged — and some submissions may be featured on our website or social media (with your permission)!
You don’t have to be a professional artist, writer, or speaker. Just express yourself however feels most natural — just be you.

We’re excited to get to know you — and possibly feature your video as part of our Àbulę student spotlight series on our website or social media (with your permission).
Your video doesn’t need to be fancy or professionally edited — just be real, honest, and you. You can film it on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Something you’re passionate about or love learning

One fun or interesting fact about you

Don’t stress about perfection — just share from the heart.
Once you're done, upload your video file or share a link (Google Drive, YouTube, etc.) in the submission form.
We’d love to see a piece of your creativity — whether it’s a drawing, painting, photo, digital art, collage, or something handmade you’ve created and photographed.

Who you are or what’s important to you
Your interests, dreams, culture, or identity
A feeling, memory, or idea you care about
Your view of learning, growth, or the future

Upload a clear image of your artwork or photo along with a photo of yourself.
Add a short caption or explanation telling us what it means to you or what inspired it.

For this option, you’ll create a photo collage made up of 3–5 pictures that represent you. These can be photos you’ve taken yourself, images of things you love, or snapshots from your life.
Your collage might include:
A photo of you doing something you enjoy
Your favorite place to be or study
A picture of something important to your culture or identity
A meaningful object, quote, pet, book, or hobby
Anything that feels like a piece of you
